Cognition Sponsors INCOSE Symposium

We are excited to return from Philadelphia where we sponsored the INCOSE International Symposium (IS). Each year Cognition sponsors this exciting event to showcase the latest advancements in Systems Engineering. This year’s IS was held June 24-27 at the Philadelphia Marriott Downtown on Market Street.

Every attendee at INCOSE was excited to receive a turndown gift on their bed at the hotel. We left a flashlight and a bottle opener for everyone. Cognition had a large double booth in the center of all of the action. We were joined by our Brazilian partners (Homine) and our friends from Cummins Engine and had a steady stream of visitors to our exhibition.

We were selected by INCOSE to participate in the Tool Vender Challenge (TVC), an event which challenges Systems Engineering software providers to solve a complex problem. This years TVC required us to design a Natural Disaster Relief Strategy for a community in a hot climate that needs ice. This year we have focused our efforts on a system of systems approach and included cost as an independent variable (CAIV) to provide an affordable system. Here is a link to the TVC.

We are excited to do it all again next year in Seoul!

Cummins has found, starting over ten years ago, that Cognition Corporation’s Cockpit system engineering tool met this need.
