I have been an application engineer with Cognition for about two years now, and I have been on the front lines of several large scale implementations of our Cockpit platform for design controls documentation.
Why does this happen? My experience in working with mega large corporations like Northrop Grumman, Lockheed Martin, or Raytheon is the project/product they are building has an army of engineers. The army needs to be marching in lockstep to gain the most success. To accomplish this, they have a defined process that all must follow, or at least the programs I was involved in did. The problem occurs when entering the data or information becomes longer or more difficult than the engineering work itself.
